“Pageant outcomes are a crapshoot” “Different judges, different day, different outcome” We’ve heard this. We’ve seen this. We’ve lived this. There is no way of being able to predict exactly who the judges will ultimately decide is their top pick to win. There are so many factors at play and things outside of our control! I realized this last night while playing judge during Miss America preliminaries with some friends. We all had COMPLETELY different ideas on what talent was an 8 or a 4. Some we agreed on, but many we did not. This shows me that all we can do is put our best forward and be happy with our performance at the end of the day. No regrets. Just prepare like you are striving for better every single day. Make it a habit and you’ll never stop growing. Mid-week mindset check 💭 What are you feeling? What are the thoughts you’re thinking? How are those thoughts impacting how you feel? If you’re feeling less than great… maybe you’re a little like me this week and feeling overwhelmed and burnt out… then take a step back and analyze the thoughts you’re thinking and how those thoughts are impacting the way you feel. Our feelings are our personal life compass. Feelings affect our behaviors and actions, which impacts our outcomes. I went to bed last night realizing I have been neglecting my daily gratitude practice and letting the things outside of my control dictate how I feel. Time to make a shift toward what I know works. Gratitude and deliberate thinking. I hope this helps you find more love and joy in the rest of your week! Onward and upward. 💚
